Fireworks on Table Three

Level 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Kazuhiko Yotsushika flopped top pair, turned two pair and rivered a full house with queen-nine on a board of {Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} to score a full double up through Minh Phhuy Nguyen and the latter was down to 3,750 after the showdown. Nguyen raised the pot from early position and Yotsushika three-bet the pot the next hand, which prompted Nguyen to call all in.

Minh Phuc Nguyen: {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Kazuhiko Yotsushika: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and Nguyen doubled.

On the next hand, Ka Kwan Lau raised the button and Chun Yuan Wang three-bet the big blind to create a pot of 7,800 to the flop of {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Wang continued for 2,300 and Lau called before the {4-Spades} turn and {J-Diamonds} river were checked through. Wang showed the {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for aces and sevens, and Lau tapped the table in defeat.

Nguyen Busts and Re-Enters

Level 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

David Wang was the latest player to enter while Edison Nguyen was eliminated in a showdown with Ka Kwan Lau. Nguyen had gotten the remaining chips in with {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Lau had the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Lau flopped a four and rivered an ace for two pair to eliminate Nguyen, but the latter soon after re-entered to fire the optional second bullet.

Players are just allowed to re-enter once should they run out of chips during the first nine levels today.

Loosli Takes from Collado; Greenwood Enters

Level 4 : 200/400, 0 ante

Sam Greenwood entered and took a seat over on table two while a somewhat interesting hand took place on table one. Sylvain Loosli bet the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop for 1,500 out of the small blind and Jan Collado three-bet to 7,000, which Loosli called. On the {K-Clubs} turn, both players checked and Loosli then bet the {8-Spades} river for 6,000 into 20,000. That was enough to force a fold from Collado and the Frenchman raked in the pot.

Li is Excited

Level 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

The four-way flop of {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and the {7-Clubs} turn were checked through and the {10-Hearts} fell on the river. Joseph Kushner bet 2,500 in the small blind and Shuo Li raised to 7,600. Quan Zhou in the cutoff and Wei Zhao on the button folded and Kushner also quickly let go.

An excited Li smashed his cards face up on the table, they tumbled and turned around. Li picked them up again and revealed {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} before claiming the pot.

Zhou vs Greenwood with Plenty of Fireworks

Level 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

After opening the action, Quan Zhou called the raise to 2,500 by Sam Greenwood out of the blinds and the flop fell {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Greenwood bet 1,500 and Zhou raised to 6,000 with a loud "gooo" and plenty of motion. Greenwood called and the {A-Spades} turn was checked. On the {4-Hearts} river, Greenwood checked again and Zhou bet 7,000.

After some consideration, Greenwood called and Zhou showed {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a bluff, which Greenwood had beat with {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Soon after the two clashed again in a big pot and Zhou shoved the {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop. Greenwood folded and Zhou showed the {8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} first, then also turned over the {A-Clubs} for top two with a big smile on the face. Zhou got most of the chips back he had just lost, while Greenwood dropped to just over starting stack.

Yotsushika Shows Aces

Level 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

Yuki Ko and Jussi Nevanlinna checked out the Omaha field while on break in the Main Event, but both cannot enter just yet as they have chips in play. While the Korean and the Finn may be among the participants late on, they saw some action unfold at the tables.

Kazuhiko Yotsushika and Vladimir Troyanovskiy were at it, and the latter eventually folded to a big three-bet pot before being shown {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. Ka Kwan Lau joked "I had an ace too," and the Japanese claimed the pot.

Over on table one, Kenneth Wong bet the river of a board {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for 5,500, which was around half the pot. Jan Collado called, then mucked when he was shown {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a straight.

Zhou Busts Greenwood in Massive Pot

Level 5 : 250/500, 0 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Sam Greenwood defended his big blind against the raise of Quan Zhou and check-raised a flop of {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Zhou called and also called the pot-sized bet on the {10-Diamonds} turn to see a pot of almost 50,000 emerge to the {J-Clubs} river. Greenwood got the remainder of his stack in and Zhou quickly said "I call."

Greenwood rolled over the {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a set of deuces, but Zhou had that beat with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a straight.

Greenwood Back at It

Level 5 : 250/500, 0 ante

Sam Greenwood joined the field again on his second bullet a few minutes ago and was involved in a bigger pot with Jan Collado straight away. Around 15,000 were in the middle and the river showed {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Both players checked and Greenwood flashed {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} or a set of threes to win the pot.
