Koon Doesn't Need to Show

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Steven Thompson Vila was in middle position and raised to 12,500. Jason Koon was in the big blind and decided to defend.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and Koon checked again. Vila bet 9,000 and Koon called.

The river was the {10-Clubs}. Koon checked for a third time, and this time Vila bet 17,500. Koon looked back at his cards and then put a single chip in the middle, indicating a call. Vila rapped the table and mucked his cards, sending the pot to Koon.

Allevato Binks on Blanco

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Vincent Allevato had 16,500 in front of him on the button and was thinking things over against a reraise to 59,500 from Lucas Blanco. Allevato eventually decided to push all in for what looked like about 210,000, and Blanco called instantly.

Blanco: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Allevato: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Blanco had a dominating hand, and the {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop kept him well in front. A {j-Hearts} turn made it Allevato's hand to lose though, and the river was an {8-Spades}.

Lokesh Garg was all in for what turned out to be 162,000 when we got to his table. The flop had come {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and Garg had jammed from the cutoff over a bet from JC Alvarado, who was in the big blind. Alvarado called.

Alvarado: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Garg: {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}

"Six, I need a six," Garg said, although an ace would do also. The turn was an {8-Diamonds} and the river a {j-Clubs}, and Alvarado collected the pot and the KO.

Parmar Gets Straightened Out by Koon

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

A big pot was brewing over at Jason Koon's table where he led out for a bet of 47,000.

There was about 60,000 in the middle already on a board reading {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

Taran Parmar was on the button and took his sunglasses off to think about his options. It was clear he was unlikely to raise, and was struggling with whether or not to call or fold.

After about two minutes of deliberation, another player at the table called the clock. About ten seconds after the tournament director arrived, Parmar decided to call.

Koon quickly tabled {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the nut straight and Parmar mucked his cards.
