Kisacikoglu Doubles Through Peters

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 45,000 from early position and was called only by David Peters in the big blind. The flop fell {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Peters checked before check-raising a continuation bet of Kisacikoglu from 45,000 to 125,000. Kisacikoglu called and the {4-Diamonds} on the turn brought a bet of 120,000 by Peters and a call by Kisacikoglu.

After the {8-Clubs} river, Peters let his shot clock run down to five seconds before announcing all in and Kisacikoglu only wasted a few seconds before calling it off for his last 277,000. Peters had a dry smile when rolling over his {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, and Kisacikoglu had the better kicker in {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} to double up.

Alvarado a Chip Millionaire

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The early double up of Preben Stokkan has been canceled out as the Norwegian just paid off JC Alvarado to drop back to where he started. Stokkan defended his big blind to a raise by Alvarado and check-called a bet of 50,000 on the {8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop.

Both players checked the {8-Spades} turn and Stokkan also checked the {4-Hearts} on the river. Alvarado bet 260,000 and Stokkan used a time bank extension before eventually calling. As soon as Alvarado had turned over {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for trips eights, Stokkan mucked and that made Alvarado a chip millionaire.
