Jan Subik opened the action with a raise to 550 and Koray Aldemir called out of the small blind. Steve O'Dwyer in the big blind three-bet to 2,500 and forced a fold from Subik, while Aldemir called. On the {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop both players checked before Aldemir bet the {7-Spades} turn for 4,000, O'Dwyer called.

The {4-Diamonds} fell on the river and Aldemir bet once agai, this time for 17,000 and more than the size of the pot. O'Dwyer reluctantly called and mucked when he was shown {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for trips sevens.

Saout Builds Stack

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a completed board of {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} with around 15,000 in the middle, Antoine Saout bet 13,500. Only one opponent remained in the hand and that was Jonathan Bussieres, who briefly considered his options and tossed in a single chip for the call.

Saout turned over {Q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a flush and that was good enough to win the pot, giving the Frenchman a decent start into the day.

Will Givens and Ari Engel were among those that joined and the latter got his seat on a table with Steve O'Dwyer. Engel just won an event in the US and was supposed to play in the €5,300 Main Event, but his flight was delayed and the Canadian poker pro and the 2016 Aussie Millions champion missed out on the opportunity.

Slow Start for Cruz

Level 1 : 100/200, 25 ante

Luis Rodriguez Cruz was moved tables early on to balance out the growing field and three-bet an open-raise from 525 to 1,700 out of the cutoff. His sole opponent called and the flop fell {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Action checked to Cruz and he continued for 1,500, which the initial raiser called.

After no betting action on the {6-Spades} turn, Cruz faced a bet of 3,500 on the {K-Clubs} river and folded.

Krichevski Catches "Kool Shen" Off Guard

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes raised to 550 from the cutoff and Adrian Mateos called on the button. Zeev Krichevski three-bet to 1,600 from the small blind and received two calls. On the {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop, Krichevski checked, Lopes bet 3,150, Mateos folded and Krichevski snap-called.

On the {4-Clubs} turn, Krichevski instantly led out for 4,000 and Lopes called. The river brought the {5-Hearts} and Krichevski splashed in 7,500 without hesitation. Lopes wasn't giving up and quickly called.

Much to everyone's surprise, Krichevski tabled an unlikely {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for running two pair. That prompted a good chuckle from all of Krichevski's table mates, except for "Kool Shen", who mucked with a disgruntled look on his face.
