"That's Why You are the Best"

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

In a preflop raising war the stacks of Adrian Mateos and Timothy Adams went into the middle of the table and it was Mateos at risk.

Adrian Mateos: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Timothy Adams: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Mateos doubled for 111,800. Rocco Palumbo chimed in to highlight the usual fate of pocket jacks in important pots and added "and that's why you are the best" towards Mateos, who raked in the pot with a big smile on the face.

Aido Busts to Thorel

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

We got there on the river on a board of {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs} as Jean-Noel Thorel (big blind) had checked and Sergio Aido (cutoff) had bet 20,000. Thorel shoved for 36,500 and Aido reluctantly called with {Q-}{J-}. Thorel tabled {8-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and raked in the pot, Aido was left with just over 60,000 after the hand it seemed.

The next hand, Aido opened for 4,300 and Thorel three-bet to 12,000. Aido called and called Thorel's 10,000 continuation bet on {K-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} as well. The {J-Hearts} hit the turn and Thorel checked. Aido moved in and Thorel snap called with {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}. Aido tabled {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and left the tournament area after the {5-Spades} completed the board.

Chidwick Down to Half a Starting Stack

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 4,500 from the cutoff and was called by Orpen Kisacikoglu on the button. The flop fell {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} and both players checked. On the {8-Spades} turn, Chidwick checked and called a bet of 4,500 by Kisacikoglu before checking again the {Q-Clubs} on the river. Kisacikoglu bet 17,000 and that forced a fold.

Koray Aldemir limped in and called a raise to 6,000 by Oleksii Khoroshenin. The flop of {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} brought a check by Aldemir, who then check-raised from 7,000 to 19,500 in order to win the pot right there. During the hand, Ole Schemion sat down between Aldemir and Khoroshenin and is back for his second bullet.

Fast Forces Fold from Schillhabel

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Joining the action on the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, Stefan Schillhabel checked out of the big blind and called a bet of 10,000 by Dietrich Fast from under the gun. On the {6-Spades} turn, Schillhabel checked once more and called a bet of 30,000 by Fast before the {10-Clubs} on the river completed the board.

Schillhabel checked and Fast announced a bet of 90,000, prompting Schillhabel to use one of his three time extensions. The one minute all but ran down and Schillhabel folded with three seconds left on the clock.

On the tail end of a big pot between Steve O'Dwyer and Dominik Nitsche, the latter was all in for 52,700 on the river of a board {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. O'Dwyer eventually called and was shown the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} from Nitsche. O'Dwyer mucked {K-Spades}{9-Spades} and dropped down to around 90,000 before losing the remainder of his stack to Dietrich Fast soon after.

Since O'Dwyer already bought in for the second time previously, he has become the first player to join the rail for certain.
