Kurganov Eliminated

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Igor Kurganov
Igor Kurganov

Igor Kurganov was seen standing on the rail with his girlfriend Liv Boeree, and was kind enough to tell us some details of his bust out shortly before.

Kurganov shoved for his last 24,000 with {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and found chip leader Paul Michaelis isolating to 43,000. All other players folded and Michaelis showed {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

Kurganov found no four or other help and the Team Pro exited the tournament area.

Andrzej Siemieniak Eliminated on the Bubble

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Andrzej Siemieniak elimination
Andrzej Siemieniak elimination

Action folded to Andrzej Siemieniak in the small blind and he raised. Big blind Konstantin Farber raised and Siemieniak called. Siemieniak checked on {6-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Farber bet. Siemieniak raised and Farber shoved. Siemieniak called for over 200,000.

Andrzej Siemieniak: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Konstantin Farber: {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

Farber, the big stack, had nothing but a gutshot against the set of Siemieniak. But wouldn't you know it, the {8-Hearts} hit the turn. The {A-Diamonds} completed the board and Siemieniak was eliminated.

As he busted in the same hand as Mihai Manole, the two split the €8,700 reserved for place 127. Both Manole and Siemieniak get €4,350.

Manole Eliminated on Bubble

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Mihai Manole elimination
Mihai Manole elimination

Thomas Mercier put in 25,000 on the button, all but covering both blinds, and big blind Mihai Manole called off his 9,000.

Mercier said he had a good blackjack hand and someone guessed ace-jack. Mercier smiled and said he couldn't say. When the cards were finally flipped, it was indeed a good guess.

Mercier: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Manole: {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, and Manole found himself eliminated. However, there was another all in at another table.

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Lentrodt: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Frankland: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The flop of {k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} brought a sweat but no further kings emerged as {6-Hearts} and {a-Spades} completed the board.

Sick Runout Indeed

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Nick Maimone
Nick Maimone

Nick Maimone bet 12,000 from the cutoff on a {9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop and big blind Rasmus Vogt called. They both checked the {j-Hearts} and the river was a {k-Diamonds}. Vogt checked and Maimone bet 21,000.

"Sick runout," Vogt said.

Moments later, he told Maimone to "take it."

Maimone flashed {k-}{j-} for the flopped nuts that he had to turn into a bluff.

"Sick runout," he agreed. "Not what I was looking for. That was a silly one."
