Ryynanen Picks Off Nguyen

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Minh Phuc Nguyen and Sampo Ryynanen saw a {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop for the minimum in the blinds, and Nguyen fired 17,000. Ryynanen called and then called a further 47,000 on the {4-Hearts} turn. On the {6-Clubs} river, Nguyen bet 116,000. Ryynanen took little time to call, and Nguyen showed {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a straight with the nut flush blocker. Ryynanen had {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and took it with his flush, along with retaking the chip lead.

Dominykas Karmazinas Eliminated in 7th Place ($29,700)

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Dominykas Karmazinas
Dominykas Karmazinas

Dominykas Karmazinas defended his big blind from a raise by Minh Phuc Nguyen under the gun. Karmazinas checked and called a bet on the {q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop and then checked the {k-Hearts}. Nguyen bet 46,000.

"I raise the pot," Karmazinas announced.

It was 185,000.

"It's all yours buddy," Karmazinas said. "If you get there, it's all yours."

After a couple of moments, Nguyen announced all in and Karmazinas called for 303,000. Turned out, it was Karmazinas who needed to get there.

Nguyen: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Karmazinas: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}.

The Lithuanian was looking for a king, but the river was a {5-Hearts}.

Players are on break for 15 minutes.

Mike Watson Eliminated in 8th Place (€23,300)

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Sylvain Loosli opened from middle position, and Mike Watson three-bet on his left for pot, almost all of his stack. Loosli jammed and Watson called.

Loosli: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Watson: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and Loosli's danglers made a straight.

Wolff Bubbles Out

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
George Wolff
George Wolff

Three players saw a {j-Spades}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop for 25,000, and action checked to George Wolff in the cutoff. He put in 80,000, a pot-sized bet, and Minh Phuc Nguyen announced a repot from the big blind. Sylvain Loosli quickly folded, and Wolff put in his last 3,000.

Wolff: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Nguyen: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Again, Nguyen had a set against a combo draw. This time, the sweat was over early as a {k-Hearts} hit the turn. Wolff rapped the table and headed out. The remaining players are all in the money.

Derwiche Takes the Lead

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Imad Derwiche and Sylvain Loosli defended their blinds against a raise from cutoff Sampo Ryynanen. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and Derwiche came out betting with 33,000. Ryynanen called after Loosli mucked. Derwiche bet again for 100,000 on the {9-Spades} turn, and that convinced Ryynanen to give up.

Karmazinas Jams on Watson

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

After what appeared to be a small Mike Watson bet from the cutoff and a Dominykas Karmazinas call in the small blind, the board read {10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} on the turn. Watson bet 50,000, and Karmazinas check-shoved for a messy pile of chips. Watson thought a couple of minutes and then folded.
