Gruissem Takes from Kurganov

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Philipp Gruissem raised to 14,000 and Ekrem Sanioglu called in the small blind, Igor Kurganov called in the big blind. On a flop of {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and the {8-Spades} turn, all three players checked. The {7-Hearts} appeared on the river and was checked to Gruissem. He bet 45,000 and Sanioglu folded, Kurganov eventually called.

Gruissem rolled over {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for the nut flush and Kurganov mucked. "Ahh, nut flush, where is your queen-high flush now?" Gruissem joked to Sanioglu, and Joao Simao chimed in with a "you blocked it."

Kurganov dropped to less than 10 big blinds and is the shortest stack at the moment along with Timothy Adams.
