Isaac Haxton Eliminated - Hand-for-Hand on the Bubble

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

It wasn't Isaac Haxton's day today, he lost some hands where he was the favorite going in, and his last hand wasn't any different.

Adrian Mateos shoved from the cutoff to put maximum pressure on all the players behind him. The button and small blind folded, Haxton didn't hesitate and called from the big blind for 700,000 or so.

Isaac Haxton: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Adrian Mateos: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}

The board came {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and with the ace on the river, Haxton's tournament was finished.

Just seconds before his bust, Haxton had told the players in the tournament that he won the Single-Day High Roller in Prague wearing the same t-shirt that he was wearing now.

"That's what I get for that speech," Haxton said with a wry smile.

With that, the remaining 10 players are on the money bubble and Mike Watson was moved over to table one and the bubble procedure was explained. Hand for hand is now being enforced, and if two players on the same table bust, the stack will decide over the bubble boy. If two players bust at the same time on different tables, the min cash of €90,100 will be split.
