Leo Fernandez Climbs Back Up Over Starting Stack

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

A player in early position raised to 900. The player in the cutoff called and Team PokerStars Pro, Leo Fernandez, defended his big blind.

The flop was {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Fernandez checked. The initial raiser bet 2,200, the cutoff folded, and Fernandez called.

The turn was the {j-Spades} and both players checked to the river, which was the {j-Clubs}.

Fernandez led out for 2,000 and the player in early position thought for a minute before folding.

Fernandez is fresh off of his victory in the High Roller event and looks to carry on that momentum throughout the day.

Franco Pandolfino Chips Back Up

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

The player in the hijack raised to 800, and Jorge Postigo three-bet to 2,275. Franco Pandolfino four-bet to 5,200 from the small blind and got a call from the big blind. Both the hijack and Postigo folded.

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Pandolfino quickly checked. The big blind wasted no time and announced, "All in." Pandolfino only had about 7,000 chips behind, and he went into the tank. After about a minute, Pandolfino called.

Pandolfino stood up with excitement as the big blind tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, because he held {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a better pair.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and the river was the {k-Spades}, giving Pandolfino the double up he was looking for.

Korn on the Right Side of a Cooler

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Jorge Ellena raised to 900 from middle position and the player in the hijack three-bet to 3,000. Norberto Korn was in the big blind and four-bet to 6,100. Ellena folded, and the hijack five-bet jammed his stack of about 25,000 in the middle. Korn snap-called.

Korn had the best of it with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}, while his opponent tabled {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Korn's aces were well behind his opponent's set of kings.
