Action Flop

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

The flop was {8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Erik Oloffson bet 1,500 and got a call from the player in the big blind before Tom Ward raised to 6,300. Nicos Nicolaou was next to Ward and he called the raise. Back to Oloffson he looked at the board before raising to 13,000.

The player in the big blind folded but Ward moved all in and Nicolaou moved all in too.

“This is going to take a while,” Oloffson said about his decision, but in the end it was a relatively quick fold.

Ward showed {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a set and Nicolaou had the straight draw with {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Ward pleaded for the board to pair, but the {9-Clubs} turn brought the straight for Nicolaou and the river {j-Spades} bricked out.

Oloffson showed he had folded {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} while Nicolaou gave a little fist pump as he gathered the pot.
