Chadha Doubles

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Carlos Chadha has been nursing a short stack but finally found a spot to get his stack in.

He checked in the big blind on a {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, and Shawn Daniels bet 1,000 from late position. Chadha made it 2,500 after a long tank, and Daniels called. On the {k-} turn, Chadha checked and Daniels put him all in for about 4,000. Chadha called immediately with {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for trips, and he was fading only the four queens as Daniels had {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The river was safe for Chadha.

Crombie Pays Off Greenstein

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

We found Kevin Crombie in middle position as the break began, having bet 5,000 on a completed board of {6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Barry Greenstein made it 15,000 to go from the cutoff, and Crombie tanked into the break. After sighing and counting his stack, he flicked in a call.

Greenstein showed {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a boat.

"That's the only thing that made sense," Crombie said as he smiled and mucked {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} face-up. "Just couldn't give you that hand."

Players are on break.

Team PokerStars Pro Barry Greenstein
Team PokerStars Pro Barry Greenstein

Victor Ramdin raised to 2,300 from middle position, Barry Greenstein called from the small blind, and the player in the big blind called.

The flop fell {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and action checked to Ramdin who continued for 2,500. Only Greenstein called.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The river was the {5-Hearts} and both players checked again.

Greenstein showed {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a pair of fives, but Ramdin tabled {7-Hearts}{6-Spades} for a pair of sixes to win the pot.

Albert Daher Eliminated by Shawn Daniels

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Matt Affleck raised to 2,600 from the hijack, Shawn Daniels called from the small blind, Albert Daher three-bet shoved for about 24,000 from the big blind, Affleck folded, and Daniels called.

Daniels: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Daher: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, giving Daher the lead with a set of nines. The {4-Diamonds} turn kept Daher in the lead, but the river was the {10-Spades} to give Daniels a queen-high straight to eliminate Daher.

Smyth Folds to Vamplew's Shove

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Peter Smyth bet 11,000 from middle position on a board of {2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. David Vamplew asked for a count of his remaining chips and then called from the button after getting a quote of 30,900. Smyth checked the {4-Hearts} river and Vamplew wasted no time before shoving all in. Smyth sighed and leaned back in his chair, thinking about 30 seconds before mucking.

Two for Johnston

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

David Johnston got his last 27,200 in preflop from the small blind against Ricky Guan in the big blind. Johnston was in great shape with nines against against fours, and a board of {8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Spades} kept him best.

The next hand, Carlos Chadha opened for 3,400 and Johnston made it 7,000 on the button. Chadha called, and the two checked a {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop. Chadha bet 4,200 on the {2-Spades} turn, and Johnston called. Both checked the {k-Clubs}, and Chadha tabled sevens. Johnston got there on the river with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, though.
