2021 Michigan Championship of Online Poker (MICOOP)

The inaugural PokerStars Michigan Championship of Online Poker (MICOOP) continues Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET with Event #14: $200 NLHE [Super Tuesday SE] $30K GTD.

More than a dozen of the 60 scheduled events have already been played to their completion in the series, spanning three weekends and featuring over $1 million in guaranteed prize pools. Every event has shattered its guarantee thus far, with almost all of them generating prize pools that were multiples of what was promised. Such turnouts only pave the way for more success in the recently-legalized online poker market of Michigan, with the Super Tuesday next up on that list.

Starting stacks for this event are 25,000 with 10-minute levels all throughout. Play will begin with blinds of 80/160 and an ante of 20, good for more than 150 big blinds' worth to all who are in from the get-go, though late registration is open until 10:40 p.m. ET, at the approximate end of Level 15 (1,250/2,500/325). Up to three re-entries are available for all who are eliminated during the late registration period.

Registration is already open for all within the state of Michigan. Players need not be Michigan residents; they simply must be within state lines in order to compete.

By the end of the night, one player will be able to call themselves the first-ever MICOOP Super Tuesday champion. PokerNews will be on hand all the way to the finish line, so be sure to follow along and see who comes out on top.

In Level 2 with blinds of 100/200 and an ante of 25, action folded to Corey "Chewmonsta2503" John in the cutoff and he opened to 550. "SimpinAintEasy" called in the small blind and then "LucyCallsMePops" three-bet to 1,800 in the big blind. Two calls ensued, taking action three ways to the streets.

The flop dropped and "SimpinAintEasy" checked. "LucyCallsMePops" continuation-bet 2,222 and received two calls, resulting in three-way action continuing to the turn . "SimpinAintEasy" checked again and "LucyCallsMePops" overbet-shoved for 26,630. John called all in for less and "SimpinAintEasy" got out of the two players' ways.

John was way ahead after hitting a six outer on the turn to make a set, and now found himself with six outs to fade to scoop the dub. The river improved him to a full house and the pot of 50K was shipped his way.

In Level 7 with blinds of 300/600 and an ante of 75, "Upay4mySushi" was down to their last 14,935 and open-jammed from early position. "bushr0d906" was on their direct left in middle position and called, prompting the rest of the players at the table to click the fold button.

"Upay4mySushi" had shoved their suited connector into an overpair and despite connecting with the flop , failed to improve any further as the turn and river completed the runout.

The pot was sent to "bushr0d906" for their pair of nines, and "Upay4mySushi" opted to fire again with no time wasted, getting another 25,000 at a new seat.

In Level 11 with blinds of 600/1,200 and an ante of 150, "msuspartanss" opened to 4,800 in early position and was three-bet to 15,600 by "PLAYIN_4_STAXX" in the hijack. Action folded back to "msuspartanss" and they four-bet jammed for 32,126, immediately receiving a call from "PLAYIN_4_STAXX".

"msuspartanss" saw that their sevens had run into a pair of bullets, and they were in trouble through the flop and turn . Luckily for them, the two outer came on the river to give them a full house, cracking the aces of "PLAYIN_4_STAXX" to take them up to 67,000.

With Level 15 (1,250/2,500/325) coming to an end, the two-hour-and-forty-minute late registration period has officially come to an end. In total, 298 entries generated a total prize pool of $55,428.

Ninety-seven players still remain, and the top 44 finishers will make it into the money and lock up at least $402. All nine who make the final table will earn $983 or more, with payouts continuing to increase from there until the eventual winner earns $10,448.

In Level 21 with blinds of 4,000/8,000 and an ante of 1,000, chip leader "OpusX6969" pumped it up to 24,000 in middle position and action folded around to "simonjsays" in the big blind, who re-jammed for just 7,729 more. "OpusX6969" made the call.

A queen on the flop proved to be more than "simonjsays" could overcome, as the turn and river came to complete the runout to eliminate "simonjsays" from the tournament in 45th place as the official bubble finisher of the tournament.

All 44 remaining players are now officially in the money, with "OpusX6969" increasing their stack to over 935,000 in the process.

In Level 22 with blinds of 5,000/10,000 and an ante of 1,250, Patrick "MSPT-HOF" Steele open-jammed for 51,625 under the gun and saw "OpusX6969" re-jam for over 900,000 in middle position to isolate, folding everybody else out of the pot.

In Level 26 with blinds of 10,000/20,000 and an ante of 3,250, Mark "CamelCack" Amlotte became the 12th-place finisher after being eliminated by "GoGreen35". Moments later, "tsaroffish4" opened to 60,000 in the cutoff, only to be three-bet shoved on by "OpusX6969" in the big blind. "tsaroffish4" called.

Both players connected on the flop , giving "OpusX6969" the lead with a pair of queens. The turn left the two players trading their overcard outs as both picked up a draw to Broadway, but it didn't end up mattering as the river kept "tsaroffish4" second best to result in their elimination from the tournament in 11th place.

With 10 players remaining, hand-for-hand play is in effect once more as the final table bubble has been reached. One more elimination is needed to arrive at the final table.

In Level 27 with blinds of 12,500/25,000 and an ante of 3,250, several all-in scenarios resulted in short stacks doubling before "WadeDavenport" opened to 50,000 in the hijack at a five-handed table. "wilcohotel" defended their big blind to see a flop of , where they check-called a continuation-bet of 30,000.

Both players checked the turn to bring the river , and "wilcohotel" check-called off their remaining 174,720, just shy of a pot-sized bet from "WadeDavenport".
