Corey “Corgasm231” Paggeot Wins Third MICOOP in Four Days by Claiming Victory in Event #62: $1,000 NLHE High Roller Championship Trophy
Corey “Corgasm231” Paggeot continued his incredible run by defeating ”C0LD_W0RLD” in a back-and-forth heads-up battle that took nearly an hour and culminated in Paggeot’s third MICOOP win and second MICOOP trophy in a mere four days. He was the last player standing in this Event #62: $1,000 NLHE High Roller Championship Trophy Event, $60K Gtd of the PokerStars 2021 MICOOP, and earned the top prize of $17,646 in addition to another piece of hardware.
While he currently lives in Las Vegas and works with Matt Berkey at Solve For Why, Paggeot has been back home in Michigan playing PokerStars MICOOP events which he has proven multiple times to be a quite fruitful endeavor. Three days ago he took down Event #49: $250 NLHE PKO SE Championship Trophy Event, $40K Gtd for a total of $9,794 and two days ago he finished first in MICOOP Event #53: $200 NLHE [6-Max, Turbo, Deepstack], $20K Gtd for $4,852.
This event attracted 76 entries and the total prize pool of $72,200 exceeded the guarantee.

Paggeot took the tournament chip lead with around two tables left and continued his run, starting the final table with a somewhat sizable chip lead that almost equaled the second and third stacks combined. “C0LD_W0RLD” started the final table third in chips and provided the first two eliminations, knocking out ”aardvark555” in ninth-place and then picking up pocket rockets to eliminate ”justinbrown69” in eighth. ”Upay4mySushi” was the next to go when his king-ten ran into the jacks of Paggeot.
”flopping air” then put a beat on ”122483” by spiking an ace on the river to knock him out in sixth and also eliminated ”PimpMyBalance” in fifth by flopping a set to win a race. ”DeeerTaaaY” was next to go in fourth-place when his eights were defeated after Paggeot’s fours flopped a set.
Paggeot had the majority of chips when three-handed play started but the stacks were virtually all evened up soon after. Paggeot was at risk against “flopping air” but had the lead and held with jacks against ace-ten. "C0LD_W0RLD" then doubled twice through Paggeot to take the majority of chips in play and “flopping air” was soon eliminated in third when his ace-six ran into the ace-jack of Paggeot.
Heads-Up
Heads-up play turned out to be a lengthy battle between warriors as both players fought for nearly an hour with each having several chances to win the tournament throughout. “C0LD_W0RLD” started heads-up play with the chip lead but Paggeot doubled with ace-jack versus king-jack to stay alive and move in front. “C0LD_W0RLD” started to accumulate chips again and had Paggeot all in and at risk with straight and flush draws against queens, and Paggeot got there with a flush on the turn to even stacks up again.
Paggeot was then the one accumulating more chips and faced a river decision that could win him the tournament and ultimately decided to fold trips when facing a river raise. After that hand, Paggeot announced "I'm either the goat or the woat", showing his uncertainty as "C0LD_W0RLD" mucked his hand and Paggeot was left wondering if he was the greatest or the worst to be able to make that play.
Not too long after and in a relatively short amount of time, "C0LD_W0RLD" had two opportunities to claim victory and so did Paggeot, but the at-risk player stayed alive each time. Paggeot then won a number of pots, mostly without showdown, to retake the chip lead once again. The two got the chips in preflop yet another time, this time with "C0LD_W0RLD" at risk with king-jack versus the ace-nine of Paggeot. Both players made a pair on the flop but it was Paggeot still ahead with a pair of aces. The turn brought another ace to finally seal the victory and the unnecessary case ace came on the river to give Paggeot an incredible hand of quad aces to finish off his incredible run.
