Day 1 of the PokerStars New Jersey 2020 NJSCOOP $300 Main Event has concluded with the completion of Level 20 and 60 players remaining in the tournament. In total, 620 entries were logged to generate a prize pool of $173,600, well beyond the guaranteed figure of $100,000.

Levels lasted 20 minutes for a seven-and-a-half hour day, with "ISlowRollYou" leading the way after finishing the day with 505,174. They were the only person to finish above a half-million, reaching that mark in the last half hour of play after being near the top of the leader board from around the time the five-and-a-half-hour registration period closed.

Five more players finished above 300,000: MisAnnthr0pe (341,753), coco91721 (337,959), Three6Latvia (335,262), nmamo33 318,939), and Wsopboy1997 (304,570).

Day 2 will resume for all 60 of the remaining players on Monday, April 27 at 7 p.m. ET. Levels will remain 20 minutes in length and play will continue until a winner has been declared and the first-place prize of $30,121.18 has been claimed.

On the final hand of the evening, "BokenTerp" limped in under the gun and action folded around to "flukey10" in the small blind, who completed. "GODOFCREAM" checked their option in the big blind and the flop came {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. "flukey10" checked and "GODOFCREAM" bet 6,000. "BokenTerp" raised to 12,000 and saw a fold from "flukey10" and a call from "GODOFCREAM."

Action was then heads up to the turn {6-Spades}, and "GODOFCREAM" checked. "BokenTerp" bet 18,188" and "GODOFCREAM" check-raised all in for 95,196. "BokenTerp" called.

Stacks got in after "GODOFCREAM" turned a flush, leaving "BokenTerp" in need of the board pairing to score the knockout. No such pair came on the river {a-Spades} and the pot was shipped to "GODOFCREAM," who found a double on the final hand of the night to leave "BokenTerp" with just 10,000 to take into Day 2.

The NJSCOOP has been playing out for the past couple weeks, and last Sunday David "coles93" Coleman took down the PokerStars NJ NJSCOOP-24-H: Sunday Special - $50,000 GTD.

The PokerStars NJ Sunday Special featured a larger than normal $350 buy-in and a $50,000 guarantee with the NJSCOOP in town.

The event was a huge success with 153 entries and 90 re-entries generating a $79,461 prize pool. A total of 39 players were guaranteed at least a min-cash of $680.

David "coles93" Coleman shipped the event for $15,331 after more than 6 1/2 hours of play. Coleman, who has amassed more than $2.8 million in online cashes, was ranked in 95th place in the world and in third place in the United States entering the tournament according to PocketFives.

Other notables at the final table included Don "mrblonde2020" Himpele (third - $8,375), David "dak1616" Kotler (fourth - $6,190), and Michael "miw21000" Wang (ninth - $1,366).
