Glantz Spotted; "dirtyjerzgent" Finds Higher Two Pair

Level 5 : 75/150, 20 ante
"dirtyjerzgent" Finds Better Two Pair
"dirtyjerzgent" Finds Better Two Pair

A blind-on-blind battle between "acooper153" and "dirtyjerzgent" saw a limped pot bring a flop of {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. "acooper153" bet 150 in the small blind and "dirtyjerzgent" called in the big blind.

The turn came {2-Hearts} and "acooper153" bet again, this time for 600. "dirtyjerzgent" called and the river fell {3-Clubs}. "acooper153" bet another 1,050 and "dirtyjerzgent" made the call to take the hand to showdown.

"acooper153" showed {j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for a turned jacks up, but it was no good as "dirtyjerzgent" had flopped top and bottom pair with {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} to show the best hand and earn the pot. As a result, "acooper153" now finds themselves as one of the shortest stacks in the tournament with blinds set to go up in just a few short minutes.

Meanwhile, Matt Glantz was spotted at the table as well, going by the screen name "matt glantz." Glantz is no stranger to the poker world, with over $7 million in live earnings dating back to a second-place finish in Atlantic City in 1999.

Big Blind Special for "fengshui428"

"fengshui428" Finds Big Blind Special
"fengshui428" Finds Big Blind Special

"XhustlerX420" limped in from early position and "The1TrueHero" limped behind in middle position. "ondemand4488" was in the cutoff and raised the minimum required amount to 400. "fengshui428" called in the big blind and both limpers did as well, taking action four ways to the streets.

With 1,900 in the middle, the flop came {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} and action checked to "ondemand4488," who made a continuation-bet of 3,000. "fengshui428" check-raised to 6,000, prompting two folds before "ondemand4488" called.

"fengshui428" then had 1,090 left and proceeded to commit it on the turn {7-Diamonds}. "ondemand4488" called and hands were shown.

"fengshui428": {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
"ondemand4488": {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

"fengshui428" found themselves unable to be eliminated with their two pair needing to fade nothing more than a straight coming on board to chop. The river {6-Diamonds} was safe and furthermore improved them to a full house, scoring a double and finding new life to go along with it.

Hand #1: "SlaynEryDay" jammed in early position for 3,351 and was called by "Weis OneSev" in the hijack.

"SlaynEryDay": {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
"Weis OneSev": {a-Spades}{6-Spades}

The two found themselves in a coin flip situation but the flop {3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} drastically changed the landscape, giving "Weis OneSev" trips to pull way out in front. The turn {3-Hearts} gave "Weis OneSev" a full house, leaving "SlaynEryDay" drawing dead to the river {4-Hearts} to leave "SlaynEryDay" with no chips for just a moment before rebuying and receiving a fresh stack of chips.

Hand #2

Moments later on another table, "donnysack" opened to 562 in middle position and saw "que suerte" three-bet all in for 3,994. "S_R732" called in the big blind and "donnysack" folded.

"que suerte": {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
"S_R732": {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

"que suerte" found themselves in bad shape but hope came on the flop {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. However, nothing further came of it as the turn {9-Spades} and river {8-Spades} completed the runout to leave "S_R732's" aces best and score them the knockout.

"jtrhockey" Knocks Out "Bluffkin88"

"Bluffkin88" pumped it up to 3,900 under the gun and action folded around to "BarB3r03," who was on the buttona and called. "jtrhockey" also called in the big blind and the three went to a flop of {4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades}. "jtrhockey" led out with a bet of 1,200 and "Bluffkin88" called before "barB3r03" folded.

Action was then heads up as the turn came {5-Clubs}. "jtrhockey" checked to "Bluffkin88," who fired out 8,700. "jtrhockey" check-raised all in and "Bluffkin88" called off their remaining 16,749.

"Bluffkin88": {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
"jtrhockey": {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

"Bluffkin88" got their stack in after hitting two pair on the turn and the 65,000-plus chip pot was one card away from being theirs. However, the river came {k-Clubs} to improve "jtrhockey" to trips and win them the pot, vaulting them to the top of the leader board in the process as "Bluffkin88" found themselves eliminated from the tournament.
