2021 New Jersey Spring Championship of Online Poker (NJSCOOP)

The 2021 PokerStars New Jersey Spring Championship of Online Poker (NJSCOOP) continues Tuesday night with the $200 buy-in Event #14-H: $200 NLHE [Super Tuesday], featuring a $17.5K guaranteed prize pool.

Play gets underway at 8 p.m. ET with blinds beginning at 80/160 and an ante of 20. Players receive starting stacks of 25,000 and may fire up to six total bullets through the three-hour-and-fifteen-minute late registration period, set to close at 11:15 p.m. ET sharp. Levels will be 12 minutes apiece all tournament long, meaning late registration will close sometime around the end of Level 15 (1,250/2,500/325). The tournament will be played nine handed until a winner has been determined.

Registration is open for all within New Jersey state lines. Competitors need not be New Jersey residents, but must be physically inside the state of New Jersey in order to play. PokerNews NJSCOOP Live Reporting Schedule

A dozen events have already been played to their completion at three buy-in levels (low, medium, and high). In total, 55 events will be run at each buy-in level between May 8-24 with $1.2 million in guarantees spread across those events. Ten of those days will feature PokerNews live reporting coverage of marquee events, culminating with the $300 buy-in Main Event that features a $100K guarantee.

In Level 5 with blinds of 200/400 and an ante of 50, John "GameofEdges" Forlenza opened the action with a raise to 880 under the gun and received calls behind from "TiltedHard" in middle position and "vigman@135" in the cutoff. Frank "thewholefunk" Funaro also called, defending his big blind to take postflop action four ways.

The flop dropped and Funaro checked to Forlenza, who continuation-bet 2,320. "TiltedHard" called and then "vigman@135" shoved for 40,055. Only Forlenza called.

Forlenza's aces had run up against a flopped top two pair and no help came for him as the turn and river completed the runout to result in the pot being shipped across the table to his opponent. Forlenza was left with just 437 after the hand and was eliminated shortly thereafter.
