Ryan "ISlowRollYou" Hohner Wins NJCOOP Event #34: $300 NLHE Sunday Special Championship Trophy Event ($10,561)
It was another special Sunday for New Jersey PokerStars players, as the New Jersey Championship of Online Poker held another marquee event, NJCOOP Event #34: $300 NLHE (Sunday Special, Championship Trophy Event) that sent 120 players to the virtual felt in search of the coveted NJCOOP Championship Trophy. With another 70 re-entries added to the prize pool, the $50,000 guarantee was met with a total of $53,200 available for players.
After eight-and-a-half hours of play, it was Jersey online grinder Ryan "ISlowRollYou" Hohner, who started the final table dead last in chips, taking home the top prize of $10,561 after a swift fourteen-hand heads-up battle with runner-up "Jackal6108".
Hohner is no stranger to NJCOOP success, having shipped NJCOOP Event #42: $500 NL Hold'em (Main Event,2-Day Event), $150k Gtd back in 2018 for $28,219. This win, Hohner's sixth recorded on PokerStars New Jersey over five-figures, is made all the sweeter with the coveted NJCOOP Championship Trophy to add to a hefty list of accomplishments for the seasoned online grinder, which also includes a runner-up performance in this summer's WSOP.com Online Series Event #4: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Super Turbo.

Twenty-six players earned a piece of the prize pool, including prominent names like Angel "Chr0meKing" Lopez (10th - $966), Mike "mmenz08816" Menzer (18th - $653), Daniel "loxonbagel" Buzgon (22nd - $653) and Frank "thewholefunk" Funaro (23rd - $653).
The start of the final table saw all the players evenly dispersed with plenty of chips; even short stack Ryan "ISlowRollYou" Hohner started with nearly twenty big blinds. After "jordanofpkr" fell in ninth, "Jackal6108" and Hohner both began to make their way up the leaderboards, trading the chip lead back and forth between them while "hightroller0" and "JoeMcEwing" were both dispatched.
After "lIlbILLYmAC" busted in sixth, "Jackal6108" won a monster pot with kings against the jacks of Hohner to assume the chip lead once again. Dan "monkeyman067" Sewnig, who already earned one NJCOOP trophy in NJCOOP Event #4: $100 NLHE Big Kickoff, then knocked out fellow short stack "DaBirds23" in fifth, and Hohner took his turn to knockout "KingKylie" in fourth on the very next hand.
Sewnig hung on for a bit longer, but his quest for a second NJCOOP Championship Trophy came to a close in third, after he jammed with ace-jack and was called by the ace-eight of "Jackal6108". Sewnig couldn't hold when "Jackal6108" turned an eight-high straight, and "Jackal6108" went into heads-up play nearly dead-even with Hohner.
Despite both players wilding nearly sixty big blind stacks, it took just fourteen hands for the end to come for "Jackal6108". After three-betting Hohner with sixes, "Jackal6108" ripped in his last twenty-six big blinds on an ace-ace-queen flop. Hohner was waiting with ace-three, however, and no six came to deny Hohner his first NJCOOP Championship Trophy.
