Giorgio Soceanu raised to 600,000 under the gun. Adrian State called on the button, and the heads-up flop fell 4♠2♠K♦. Soceanu continued for 400,000 and called when State raised to 1,000,000.

State sized up to 2,200,000 on the 6♥ turn, which Soceanu also called. The 8♣ river was checked to showdown, where Soceanu showed 7♥4♥ for the winning hand, while State sent his 10♥9♥ to the muck.

Adrian State raised to 500,000 as first to act, after which Giorgio Soceanu defended his big blind. The 9♥8♠7♦ flop was checked through to the J♥ turn, where Soceanu check-called the 500,000 bet of State.

Soceanu then led out for 1,300,000 when the board paired on the 9♣ river. In response, State put in a massive raise to 9,500,000, about half his stack.

Soceanu looked puzzled but quickly tossed in a call. State tabled J♠J♦ for the best full house. Soceanu grimaced as he tabled 7♠7♣ for the bottom full house, losing the gigantic pot to State.

Salvatore Russo made it 525,000 on the button and was three-bet to 1,350,000 by Giorgio Soceanu in the big blind. Russo then put in his stack of 10,250,000, which Soceanu immediately called.

Russo did not want to hit a set after the 5♠K♠Q♠ flop, but that is exactly what happened on the 10♦ turn. The A♥ river did not bring him quads or a flush, and he was consequently eliminated in fifth place.

Meanwhile, Soceanu's Broadway won him the huge flip, ending the hand as the new chipleader, playing over 100 big blinds.

Soceanu continued for 500,000 on the 10♠8♣A♣ flop, with State flicking in a quick call. The 8♠ turn went check-check, after which the 3♠ river was dealt.

Soceanu debated momentarily but ultimately checked to State, who quickly checked back.

Soceanu tabled 5♠4♦ for five-high, while State comfortably won the pot with his A♦4♠ for top pair.
