Demydenki checked again on the Q♣ river. Putz put in 500,000 chips, which Demydenko called off. Putz tabled Q♥8♣ for top pair, leaving Demydenko to shake his head and muck his cards.

Barnes Short After Calling Off Sposato

Stephen Barnes raised to 200,000 in the cutoff and saw Gaspare Sposato call in the big blind. The 4♥7♠2♠ flop checked to the 9♠ turn, where Sposato led out for 275,000.

Barnes put in a call, and the 9♦ river completed the board. Sposato put in a hefty bet of 1,025,000, sending Barnes into the tank. After one time extension, Barnes flicked in a calling chip.

Sposato showed 9♣2♣ for a full house. Barnes took one final look at his cards before tossing them in the muck and admitting his defeat.
