Marcolin Six-Bet Jams, Doubles Up
Level 1
: Blinds 100/100, 100 ante
Franco Marcolin raised to 300 under the gun, and Hendrik Hanebuerger called in the hijack. Patrick Stierli then three-bet to 1,600 on the button, which Marcolin bumped up to 4,000.
Hanebuerger quickly got out of the way, but Stierli five-bet to 12,000. After a couple of minutes playing with his chips, Marcolin jammed all in for 29,500 and was quickly called by Stierli.
Franco Marcolin: A♥A♦
Patrick Stierli: A♣K♣
Marcolin's aces had Stierli drawing dead on the 9♦3♠8♦5♥ turn, with the 8♥ river being dealt as a formality. Stierli raked in a massive double-up to two starting stacks, leaving Stierli with just 17 big blinds.
