Manuel Ferrari opened to 1,400,000 with J♥10♦ and Ermanno Di Nicola defended 5♣2♥.

On the 7♦7♣5♦ flop, Di Nicola led out with a bet of 1,100,000, which failed to shake Ferrari.

The 8♥ turn slowed Di Nicola down, and he check-called versus a bet of 3,200,000 from Ferrari.

The K♦ river completed the board, and Di Nicola checked. Ferrari thought it through for quite a while, and jammed with the covering stack of 27,850,000 with jack-high.

Di Nicola looked pained, and sat up and back in his chair, staring at the board and his chips. He fired a timebank into the middle to give him more time to consider the spot, before ultimately folding the best hand.

On the 9♠7♦7♥ flop, Di Nicola check-called versus a bet of 400,000 from Ferrari.

The 10♦ hit on the turn, and was checked through to the 2♣ river, where Di Nicola led out with a bet of 1,000,000 with king-high with the board pair.

Ferrari found the quick call to take the pot.

On the Q♠7♣5♥ flop, Di Nicola check-raised to 2,100,000 in the face of a bet of 700,000 from Ferrari, who made the call.

The 6♦ turn gave Ferrari a set, and he checked to Di Nicola, who fired out a bet of 3,500,000. Ferrari just called.

The 2♣ river completed the board, and Ferrari checked once more, laying the trap. Somehow Di Nicola did not fall into it, finding the check back.

Both players made top pair on the the Q♣J♠4♠ flop, and Ferrari check-raised to 2,100,000 versus a bet of 750,000 from Di Nicola. After some thought, Di Nicola called.

The 2♠ turn brought in flushes, and was checked through to the K♠ river, where Ferrari went in front with the one-card flush.

No further action took place and Ferrari took the pot at showdown.
