Calligaris Makes Huge Hero Call

Giorgio Calligaris opened to 50,000 from early position, and received a call from Constantin Erhan on the button, before Marios Zervoudis reached for chips to three-bet to 215,000.

There was a bit of confusion as Zervoudis wanted to three-bet more, but made a double-motion with his chips. There was a roughly five-minute delay, while the floor was called and the action was debated. The floor ruled that the three-bet to 215,000 stood. Calligaris called but Erhan folded.

The K♣10♠9♣ flop was checked through to the 10♦ turn, where Zervoudis fired out a bet of 180,000. Calligaris called.

The 4♦ river completed the board, and Zervoudis slid out a bet of 380,000. Calligaris didn't think for long before flicking in a calling chip.

Zervoudis hesitated to show his cards, and Calligaris immediately turned over 3♦3♠ for two pair, tens and threes, and started celebrating before Zervoudis had even revealed his hand.

Zervoudis smiled, and mucked, sending a huge pot to Calligaris.
