Tobias Peters Chases More Silverware as Ramdhane Ben Maamar Leads into Day 4 of PokerStars Open Namur
As we prepare to head into the penultimate day of the PokerStars Open Main Event Namur at Circus Casino Resort, the field of 1,572 entries has been whittled down to the final 29 players, all of whom will return at noon local time today, June 7, with dreams of capturing the spaded trophy and a €238,000 payday.
The event generated a €1,490,256 prize pool and has proven to be a record maker, representing the largest live tournament prize pool in Belgian poker history.
Dutch WSOP bracelet winner Tobias Peters lurks in the top ten, and is seeking to add to his remarkable resume of 20 recorded live tournament victories, but it is Ramdhane Ben Maamar (5,460,000) of France who will start the day at the top of the standings after going on a tear in the latter stages of Day 3.
Maamar is seeking a maiden significant score, and he is followed by Brit Jason Barton (4,095,000), who is seeking to surpass his career-best score of £11,000 amongst recorded cashes of $115,000.
A definite dangerman will be Jozef Cibicek of Slovakia (3,270,000) in third, who is earning a reputation as one of Europe's most promising players. Cibicek has racked up 15 cashes in 2025 alone, and boasts recorded cashes of $425,000.
