Docherty Left with Crumbs After Emptying the Clip
David Docherty opened to 400,000 from the button with 6♦5♦, and Andrew Hulme defended Q♣7♦.
On the Q♥J♠4♠ flop, Hulme check-called in the face of a bet of 350,000 with top pair.
The 2♥ hit on the turn, and Hulme checked once more. Docherty wasn't ready to give up on the hand, and double-barreled with a bet of 1,500,000.
Hulme spread some time banks as he contemplated the spot, but called to see the 10♥ river.
He checked for a third time, and Docherty emptied the clip, moving all-in for 5,125,000.
Hulme hated it, and grimaced and sighed while he contemplated the position. He flicked another timebank to the dealer, put his hands to his head and rubbed his forehead.
Another time bank went in. Suddenly, Hulme made the call, and Docherty's fate was sealed.
A superb call from Hulme.
