Josh Philips opened to 700 in the cutoff, finding a call from Zayar Tun on the button. Daniel DaConti also came along in the small blind, and checked the 5♠6♥2♥ flop.
Philips also checked before Tun fired 500 into the middle. DaConti folded, while Philips slid in a call. Another check from Philips followed the 3♣ turn, making the call after Tun continued for 1,500.
One last check from Philips on the A♣ river was met with a bet of 4,000 from Tun. Philips stuck in the call, and was shown J♦9♠ by Tun.
Philips tabled A♦9♥ for top pair to claim the pot.
"Would have been more fun if the ace didn't come," Philips remarked as he stacked some fresh chips.
