Joshua Sheppard checked the 10♥10♦10♠ flop from the big blind, and Charles Bryant bet 8,000 from under the gun. John Dorsey called, while Sheppard let his hand go.

Bryant then checked the 5♠ turn, and Dorsey checked it back. Another check from Bryant followed the 7♥ river, turning over 9♠9♥ for a full house after Dorsey checked it down.

That was good enough to take the pot, as Dorsey slid his cards into the muck.

The final late registration of the week has closed, and the numbers are in. Day 1d attracted a massive field of 410 entries, bringing the overall tournament total to 893.

Action will continue tonight until just 52 players remain, who will earn a spot in the money for Day 2.

Joseph Tabasco let out a loud cheer at table 23, as he watched his tournament come back to life.

Tabasco was all in from the hijack on the Q♦10♥6♣9♥ turn, at risk against Chan Kim in the big blind.

Kim flipped over a straight, leaving Tabasco drawing very thin with one card to come. The dealer flipped over the K♠ river, giving Tabasco a better straight to stay alive by doubling through Kim.

Bruce Stone opened to 8,000 in early position, and Jean Brillant called in the cutoff. Lucas Vergara came along on the button, while Joseph Kim and Timothy Conner called in the blinds.

Action checked around to Vergara on the 7♠7♥6♥ flop, who bet 7,000. Only Kim called to the K♣ turn, where both players checked.

Kim led out by announcing all in following the J♦ river, and Vergara took a moment before sliding his cards into the muck.

Lingkun Lu raised to 6,000 in middle position, and Alvin Anton slid out a three-bet on the button to 18,000. Action folded back around Lu, who four-bet to 45,000.

Anton announced all in, and Lu made the immediate call.
