With the 2023 Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP) winding to a close, it's time for the latest champion to be crowned as Day 1 of Event #81: $300 Main Event gets underway at 6 p.m. local time. Boasting a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool (the highest guarantee of the entire 2023 PACOOP), the main event is sure to bring out the best online grinders in Pennsylvania.

Last week, "mbw2388" took down the prestigious Event #47: $200 No Limit Hold’em Sunday Special Championship after besting a 744-player field and defeating Zach "KennytheRipper" Gruneberg heads-up for $23,482 — the largest prize awarded thus far in the 2023 PACOOP.

Just two days remain for the 2023 PACOOP, but there are still plenty of events to choose from, including the $2,500 High Roller Championship later this evening and the $200 Godfather Championship on October 2, which is an 8-game event for those looking for a change of pace. Players in Day 1 of the main event will start with 300,000 in chips. Blinds will begin at 600/1200 with a 150 ante and will escalate every 15 minutes. Up to five reentries will be available during the late registration period, which ends at 10:30 p.m. local time. Play will end for the day at 1:30 a.m. and the remaining players will continue for Day 2 on October 2 at 6 p.m.
