The guarantee has already been met in Event #2: $1,100 No Limit Hold’em at the PokerStars Summer Series at Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia. There is already a whopping $353,320 in the prize pool and today’s flight is likely to be the largest yet. The chance of the guarantee being doubled two events in a row is high and players are excited for their shot at the chance to take down the top spot.
Some dominant play has come out of the first two flights with today expected to be no different. Last night Sanaul Haque Himel bagged the biggest stack of the first two flights with 816,000 but there are plenty of players right in the mix. Day 1a chip leader Robert Elias bagged a healthy 776,000, Nicholas Skyllas was in last night’s flight and bagged a massive 791,000, and Michael Cologna put 680,000 in a bag.

A few local pros with success that goes much wider than just the Philadelphia region have also bagged some healthy stacks to take into Day 2. WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen put 472,000 in the bag in the first flight of the event. Another Philadelphia local, Bin Weng made his presence known in the second flight and put a massive 760,000 in the bag to take into Day 2 with the hopes of putting the pressure on when it matters most.
The last starting flight of the event kicks off today at 11:15 a.m. local time and all players that earn a bag will be in the money on Day 2. They will return to battle it out for the money, trophy, and the glory on Sunday at 11:15 a.m.

Each player will start with 40,000 in tournament chips. Levels will be 40 minutes long on Day 1 and 60 minutes on Day 2, with 15-minute breaks every two hours. Late registration and reentries will be allowed until the start of Level 10. Day 1 concludes once 12.5 percent of the field remains.
This is an unlimited reentry event and is sure to draw a large turnout from the East Coast tournament crowd. Make sure to get to the venue early as reentries take priority over alternates and space is limited.

Gilberto Solano opened in middle position to 400 with action folding to the button, who put in a three-bet to 1,300. It was then back on Solano who didn't take long before announcing a four-bet to 3,100. The button thought it over and eventually called.
The flop looked like action in the form of K♠A♦A♥ but surprisingly action checked through to a 3♥ turn.
Solano threw out a bet of 5,000. It was then on the button who didn't think long before folding jacks face up.
Solano dragged the pot and was also seen putting in another three-bet just a few hands later.

With a board showing 4♠K♠9♣, the small blind checked before Piotr Kowal checked his option in the cutoff. Action was then on the button, who put out a bet of 1,200. The small blind called and then Kowal put in a large check-raise to 3,900. The button folded and action was back on the small blind who put in the chips for a call.
The 8♣ landed on the turn and the small blind check-called another 10,000 bet from Kowal.
The J♦ landed on the river and the small blind checked again. Kowal didn't take long before moving all in for 20,000. The small blind went into the tank for over a minute before making the call.
Kowal tabled K♥9♦ for a flopped two pair and scooped a massive pot early in the day.

Action was opened by the cutoff to 600. It then folded to James Raymond in the big blind who three-bet to 2,000. The cutoff called and they were off to a flop heads up.
The 3♥K♦2♥ landed on the flop and Raymond continued for 1,200. The cutoff called.
The 10♦ turn made the board quite a bit more connected but Raymond still fired for 3,200. The cutoff called again.
The 3♦ landed on the river and Raymond took his time before slowing down with a check. The cutoff checked behind.
Raymond tabled K♣7♠ for a light three-bet and some thin value bets on two streets. He scooped and was in the very next hand.
