Marsella Wins a Big One
There was a limp in early position followed by a raise from middle position to 600. Pete Marsella called from the button. There was then a call from the small blind, big blind, and early position limper. The players were off to a flop five ways.
The A♦J♣4♣ flop hit the felt and action checked to the original raiser who continued for 1,600. Marsella called from the button and the small blind called. The other three players folded.
The J♠ landed on the turn and the small blind checked. The original raiser took a rare line and downbet to 1,200. Marsella thought it over and opted to raise to 2,400. The small blind folded and the original raiser called.
The river brought a 6♦ and middle position checked. Marsella bet 3,100. The original raiser went into the tank and eventually flicked in a call.
"I have a Jack" Marsella said to his opponent and rolled over J♦9♦. The original raiser knuckled the table and said "good hand," before tossing his cards to the muck.
