Pezzin Doubles Through Gomes

In the last hand before the break, action folded to Alexandre "Allingomes" Gomes on the button and he raised to 1,350. Team PokerStars Pro (Canada) Pat Pezzin was in the small blind and pushed back to the tune of 3,600. The big blind got out of the way, Gomes four-bet to 6,240, and Pezzin called.

When the flop fell {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, Pezzin moved all in for 15,774 and Gomes quickly called.

Showdown
Pezzin: {A-Spades}{4-Spades}
Gomes: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Gomes' overpair was ahead, but Pezzin flopped an open-ended straight draw. Lucky for him, the {3-Hearts} spiked on the turn to complete the said straight and guarantee his survival. The inconsequential {K-Diamonds} was put out on the river and Pezzin took down the 45.258 pot. "Jeez," was all Gomes could say in the chat box after the hand.
