Visser Holds

Ruben Visser
Ruben Visser

Action folded to "___HotTunà__" in the cutoff who raised to 2,400. Ruben "rubenrtv" Visser popped it to 5,850 on the button, but "cdnblaster" four-bet to 16,250 in the big blind.

Five-bet shoving for 49,119 was "___HotTunà__'s" next move, resulting in Visser six-betting all in for 80,776. After a few moments in the tank, "cdnblaster" got out of the way.

Visser: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}
"___HotTunà__": {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The board rolled out {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{J-Spades} as Visser faded the necessary turn and river outs to get back to a six-figure stack.

Guillen Gone

Angel Guillen min-raised to 2,400 and was called by two players before "Tomatee" re-raised to 9,999 from the small blind. Guillen, though, four-bet shoved for 60,862. Action folded back to "Tomatee" who called with {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}, trailing Guillen's {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}.

However, Guillen was all but done on the flop as it fell {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} to give "Tomatee" a flush. No miracle chop came for Guillen, ending his Main Event.

Bad Timing For "Timex"

Mike McDonald - Eliminated
Mike McDonald - Eliminated

Near the end of the last level, "Str8$$$Homey" min-raised to 2,000 from middle position. Mike "Timex" McDonald called from the hijack, but "drygo 1" three-bet to 6,000 from the big blind. "Str8$$$Homey" folded, McDonald called, and the flop came down {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

The flop was checked by "drygo 1", opening the door for McDonald to bet 5,555. A check-minraise came from "drygo 1" which McDonald called. When the {J-Clubs} hit the turn, "drygo 1" bet 20,000. McDonald called all in for 19,258 with {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}, but was well behind the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} of "drygo 1". The {5-Spades} river officially brought McDonald's tournament to an end.

Chip Counts

With the average stack at just over 66,000, here's a look at how some notables are faring as we hit our eighth break of the day

Tripp-ed Up by Aces

Action folded to "all in 2526" and he opened for 2,200, which was met with a three bet to 5,065 by Steve "betrthanphil" Tripp in the small blind. From there, the big blind got out of the way, all in 2526 four-bet to 11,000, Tipp five-bet to 21,485, and all in 2526 six-bet shoved. Tripp called off his remaining 29,181 and discovered the bad news.

Showdown
Tripp: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
all in 2526: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}

Just when things looked bleakest, the {Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} flop delivered Tripp salvation. Unfortunately for him, the {J-Hearts}{ turn and {10-Spades} river have all in 2526 the runner-runner straight, eliminating Tripp in brutal fashion.

"ElkY" Has Chips

Bertrand Grospellier
Bertrand Grospellier

With a min-raise and call in front of him, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier three-bet to 6,123 from the from the small blind. The raiser folded, but "1ncorrigible" called for a second time to see a {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop.

"ElkY" bet 7,896 and was called immediately by "1ncorrigible", landing the {7-Hearts} on the turn. Firing again, "ElkY" bet 11,234 this time. Another call from "1ncorrigible" delivered the {10-Diamonds} river, which saw "ElkY" shove for 21,330. "1ncorrigible" folded rather quickly, surrendering the pot to "ElkY".
