Doug Polk Busted

Level 11 : 300/600, 90 ante
Doug Polk
Doug Polk

Jason Mercier just bought in for a second time, which makes Doug "WCG|Rider" Polk the first one to completely bust from the tournament. He started his last hand with 17,577 chips in the 250/500-level.

Under the gun Polk raised to 1,250 before Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit put in a 3-bet to 3,312. All other folded and Polk made the call.

He checked to Kanit on the {6-Hearts}{k-Spades}{a-Hearts} flop and the Italian continued for 3,115. Polk called leaving him with less than a pot size bet behind. He checked again when the {5-Clubs} hit the virtual felt on the turn. Kanit put Polk all in and he made the call.

Polk: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Kanit: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Polk was ahead with his pair of aces, but Kanit had an open ended straight draw and a flush draw. The {4-Spades} on the river gave him a straight and sent Polk to the rail.

Big Lead for Thuritz

Level 11 : 300/600, 90 ante

Mikael "ChaoRen160" Thuritz is slowly pulling away from the field. The Swede had over 90,000 chips now as he won a nice pot against Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi.

In a blind battle, Shakerchi completed and Thuritz checked his option. The flop brought {2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Shakerchi bet 1,017, only to see Thuritz raise to 2,823. Shakerchi made the call and the two players saw the {8-Diamonds} on the turn.

Shakerchi check-called a bet of 3,721 and the {7-Clubs} fell on the river. Both players checked and Shakerchi showed {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a missed flush draw. Thuritz tabled {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for just Queen-high but it was enough to win the hand.

Dvoress Doubles Through Sulsky

Level 11 : 300/600, 90 ante

Daniel "Oxota" Dvoress was down to 12,845 chips, but the Canadian just doubled up.

From the button Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky opened for 1,524 and Dvoress shoved from the small blind. Sulsky called and the card were on their backs.

Dvoress: {10-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Sulsky: {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}

Dvoress needed some to hit to stay alive. The help he wanted came directly on the flop {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. The {10-Hearts} turn gave him to pair and when the {5-Spades} hit the felt on the river he doubled up.

Complete Count in the Break

Level 11 : 300/600, 90 ante

There are 23 players still in the tournament. A total of 24 players registered. Jason Mercier, OtB_RedBaron, Talal Shakerchi and Timofey Kuznetsov all used two barrels to reach this sixth break.

The field of this Super High Roller is a lot smaller than last year's event when 46 players showed up. But for this edition they doubled the buy-in from $51,000 to a whooping $102,000.

Kenney Cracks Aces and Doubles

Level 11 : 300/600, 90 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Bryn Kenney just doubled up by cracking Daniel "Oxota" Dvoress aces. Kenney raised preflop to 1,444 and Dvoress threw in a 3-bet from the big blind for 4,650 total. Kenney made the call and they went to the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop.

Dvoress, who doubled twice just before the break, made a continuation bet of just 2,850 in a 10,000 pot. Kenney called and did the same when Dvoress fired 8,250 on the {10-Clubs} turn.

The river brought the {q-Hearts} and Dvoress put Kenney all in for 16,730. Kenney quickly called and showed {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a turned set of tens, which was enough to crack Dvoress' {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}.

Trip Kings for Haxton

Level 12 : 400/800, 120 ante

Justin "ZeeJustin" Bonomo opened with a raise to 1,320 from early position. Isaac "philivey2694" Haxton to his immediate left made the call and Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams came along from the big blind.

The three saw a {7-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop. Adams checked, Bonomo fired 1,800 and Haxton was the only caller. Haxton also called a 6,864-bet on the {K-Spades} turn. Both players checked the {A-Hearts} river.

Bonomo showed {q-Clubs}{a-Clubs} for a rivered pair of aces, but that wasn't enough against the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} from Haxton.

Bencb789Shoves on Bodyakovskiy

Level 12 : 400/800, 120 ante

From the cut off Nikita "fish2013" Bodyakovskiy made it 1,600 to go. "Bencb789" was the only one to call. The flop was {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and the Swede called a 1,822-bet by Bodyakovskiy.

On the {J-Clubs} turn, Bodyakovskiy fired 5,582, but "bencb789" pushed all in for 21,824 total. Bodyakovskiy gave it a thought, but decided to fold.

Rast Busts Bonomo

Level 12 : 400/800, 120 ante
Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

Brian "tsarrast" Rast opened under the gun with a raise to 2,000. Justin "ZeeJustin" Bonomo shoved all in from the cut off for a total of 20,333. It was folded around to Rast who called immediately.

Bonomo: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Rast: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Bonomo was in bad shape with his eighths against Rast's pocket kings. The {q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} made it even worse for Bonomo, who was left drawing dead after the {4-Hearts} came on the turn. The {j-Spades} on the river was of no matter and Bonomo was eliminated from the tournament.

Petrangelo Sent to the Rail

Level 12 : 400/800, 120 ante

Shortly after the bust out of Justin Bonomo, Nick "caecilius" Petrangelo was also eliminated from this Super High Roller. Petrangelo made it 1,800 from the hijack and Igor "lechuckpoker" Kurganov defended his big blind.

Both checked the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop and Kurganov checked again when the {4-Spades} came on the turn. This time Petrangelo bet out 1,650, leaving him with only 9,000 behind. Kurganov made the call and checked for a third time on the {3-Spades} river. Petrangelo shoved and the Russian made the call.

That call was bad news for Petrangelo. He showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for missed draws and Kurganov tabled {10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for the flopped straight. Petrangelo was eliminated from the tournament in 22nd place.
