Defending Champ Folds on River

Level 3 : Blinds 700/1,400, 140 ante

Last year, "jokkee_apart" emerged victorious in the highest buy-in PLO tournament of the WCOOP series. They have appeared in today's field, seeking to defend their title.

They opened to 4,900. Directly on their left, Yuri "theNERDguy" Dzivielevski, made the call, before "boerni21", the big blind, made it 20,300. Both players called.

On the A33 flop, "boerni21" continued their aggression, firing out 6,300, and getting calls from both players. On the 6 turn, "boerni21" sized up to 34,104. "jokkee_apart" made the call while Dzivielevski got out of the way.

On the 3 river, "boerni21" fired yet again, this time for the pot, a bet worth 149,408. The defending champ surrendered their hand, conceding the pot to "boerni21"

"NVoskob1986" Doubles Up

Level 3 : Blinds 700/1,400, 140 ante

After an open to 4,900 and a call, "NVoskob1986" put in a three bet to 8,400 from the small blind. The opener, Andras "probirs" Nemeth, made the call before "AmSoGood" made the four bet to 35,000 from the button. Both other players called.

On the JQ8 flop, "NVoskob1986" opened for the pot, a bet of 107,240. "AmSoGood" moved all in, covering their opponent. "NVoskob1986" made the call for his effective stack of 213,275.

"NVoskob1986": J886
"AmSoGood": AKK4

"NVoskob1986" was in good position to double up with their set of eights, but "AmSoGood" still had plenty of equity. The 3 turn and Q river changed nothing, and "NVoskob1986" secured the double.
