Level 39 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 62,500 ante
Pastor Straight Up Doubles
Pastor Straight Up Doubles

Juan "xPastorcitox" Pastor limped in from the small blind and Niklas "Lena900" Astedt made it 1,750,000 to go from the big blind. Pastor made the call and subsequentially check-called Astedt's 1,237,500 bet on the KQ4 flop.

The A turn was then dealt and Pastor checked again, this time seeing a bet of 3,150,000 pop up from Astedt's avatar. Again, Pastor made the call and the 6 river completed the board.

Pastor checked for a final time, and Astedt now put his opponent all-in for 12,922,186 chips, slightly more than the pot. Pastor instantly called and showed J10 for the nut straight, while Astedt was value betting his K4 for flopped two pair.

Pastor doubled up and Astedt lost his recently acquired chip lead.

Astedt Captures Chip Lead

Level 39 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 62,500 ante

Niklas "Lena900" Astedt opened for 1,100,000 chips from under the gun and Ivan "ILS007" Stokes made the call from the small blind. Stokes then check-called Astedt's 2,250,000 bet on the 428 flop before the 8 turn was checked through.

The 5 river then completed the board and Stokes checked for a third time. Astedt came out with a bet of 5,850,000, and after some thinking time, Stokes let his hand go, granting the chip lead to Astedt.

"ShipitFTW911" Stabilizes

Level 39 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 62,500 ante

"ShipitFTW911" raised to the minimum of 1,000,000 from under the gun and received calls from Ivan "ILS007" Stokes on the button and Niklas "Lena900" Astedt in the big blind.

The flop of 76A was then checked to Stokes, who made a bet of 1,000,000. Astedt folded but "ShipitFTW911" check-raised to 2,715,000, which was enough to get the job done.

The Swede was at danger of falling below the 20 big blind-mark for a while, but has won a few chips back with this pot.

Leonard "Grozzorg" Maue Eliminated in 5th Place ($298,792)

Juan "xPastorcitox" Pastor raised to 1,100,000 from the cutoff and Leonard "Grozzorg" Maue three-bet to 4,250,000 from the button, leaving himself less than one million chips behind.

The action folded back to Pastor, who put in the rest and Maue made the call.

Leonard "Grozzorg" Maue: A10
Juan "xPastorcitox" Pastor: 88

Maue was flipping for his tournament life, but he would be drawing dead on the turn when the board came 7KK8. Pastor's full house had no chance of being beaten, and the 3 river was but a formality.

Jamil "Jamil11" Wakil Eliminated in 6th Place ($218,372)

One orbit after doubling up, Jamil "Jamil11" Wakil raised to 920,000 from the cutoff. This time, the action folded to Niklas "Lena900" Astedt in the big blind, who put out a three-bet to 3,400,000. Wakil dipped into his time bank before shoving all in for 17,867,782, and Astedt instantly called.

Jamil "Jamil11" Wakil: AK
Niklas "Lena900" Astedt: KK

The cooler fell in the favor of Astedt when the aces remained in the deck on 77435. Astedt's kings made two pair and sent the disillusioned Wakil to the rail in sixth place.

Wakil Doubles Up, Maue Now Shortest

Level 38 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante
Wakil Doubles Up, Maue Now Shortest
Wakil Doubles Up, Maue Now Shortest

Jamil "Jamil11" Wakil raised to 920,000 from the cutoff and faced a three-bet to 2,400,000 from small blind Leonard "Grozzorg" Maue. The action folded back to Wakil and he made the call.

The flop fell 4QJ and Maue slowed down with a check. Wakil then made a bet of 1,380,000 before Maue shoved all in, covering the 7,000,000 chips Wakil still had behind. Wakil snap called and the two showed down.

Jamil "Jamil11" Wakil: AA
Leonard "Grozzorg" Maue: AK

Wakil had slow-played his aces preflop and was now in a prime spot to double up. He faded Maue's gutshot straight draw on the 86 runout and doubled up, leaving Maue with the least chips on the table, with less than 20 big blinds at his disposal.
