Mattsson Adds to His Stack
Level 3
: Blinds 700/1,400, 175 ante
Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson raised to 3,220 from the cutoff and faced a 11,200 three-bet from button "Top Grind" shortly thereafter. Mattson then proceeded to check-call the 12,950 continuation-bet that "Top Grind" put out on the 9♥J♣7♦ flop.
Mattsson checked again on the 5♠ turn and Top Grind decided on a pot-sized bet of 51,800. After thinking it over for a few seconds, Mattsson made the call. The 8♥ river completed the board and both players checked in quick succession. Mattsson showed 9♦8♦ for rivered two pair, and it was enough to take down the pot when "Top Grind" mucked their holdings.
