Wilson Whiffs Payjump, "Stumpfed" Fed to the Lions
With 32 players remaining, Andy "BowieEffect" Wilson shipped his 498,140 stack in from the big blind and received a call from "Stumpfed" in the big blind.
Andy "BowieEffect" Wilson: K♥6♦
"Stumpfed": A♣5♠
The hand was virtually over when "Stumpfed" flopped trips on J♣5♣5♦, and the full house upgrade on the A♥ turn sealed the deal. The Q♥ river completed the board and Wilson was the last to leave without making the pay jump to $40,350.
One hand later, it would be "Stumpfed" themself who was at risk of elimination when Kelvin "Kelvin_FP:AR" Kerber raised to 180,000 from the button and "Stumpfed"s stack of 2,341,213 went in from the small blind, with Kerber making the call.
"Stumpfed": A♥Q♥
Kelvin "Kelvin_FP:AR" Kerber: 5♠5♥
"Stumpfed" had many outs to hit on the 9♥K♠9♠6♥ board, but none came on the 2♦ river, leaving him to be eliminated after just eliminating a player himself.
