Swiftie4Life Causes Major Upset in the 2-7 Triple Draw Championship
The PokerStars WCOOP World Championship events always bring out online poker's elite players, and that was certainly the case in the 2-7 Triple Draw World Championship. Between them, the seven finalists had almost 30 WCOOP titles. "Swiftie4Life" caused a major upset by leaving those stars in their wake and claiming their first WCOOP victory.
Terrence "Unassigned" Chan was the first player to bust from the final table. Argentina's "timbateamproo" joined Chan on the rail before the hot-running Slovenian Blaz "Scarmak3r" Zerjav bowed out in fifth.
The elimination of "FMpire" left only three players in the hunt for the $21,153 top prize. Those three became two when mixed game specialist "FAL1st" busted in third before "Swiftie4life" sent Joao "Naza114" Vieira home in second-place, just shy of his 14th WCOOP victory.
