Brazilian soccer sensation Neymar came agonizingly close to becoming a World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) winner, but he ultimately had to make do with a runner-up finish. Neymar finished second from 112 entrants in the $5,200 NLHE Titans Event, taking home $99,075 and plenty of praise from the poker community.

The Titans Event is one of the toughest online poker tournaments, and this is particularly true during the WCOOP, when the world's best tournament players flock to PokerStars. Despite this, Neymar, who is better known for dazzling crowds with his silky footwork, more than held his own among poker's elite.

Canada's "Notmystyle" was the one player Neymar couldn't navigate past. The Canadian caused an upset as they banked $129,043 and the first WCOOP title of their career.
