The champion found themselves battling against some of PokerStars' top-tier grinders once they reached the final table. Such luminaries as "king153246," Renan "Internett93o" Bruschi, Christian "CMoosepower" Elgstrom, and "FAL1st" were present and correct. "sandman201" defeated Finland's "O.Klunssila" heads-up and reeled in WCOOP victory number four.

According to The Hendon Mob Database, "sandman201" is Canadian grinder Thomas Taylor, a mixed game specialist with more than $2.7 million in live tournament earnings. "sandman201"'s prowess in mixed game WCOOP events seems to add some credit to that narrative. In addition to the pair of $1,050 H.O.R.S.E. events they've won, "sandman201" was also crowned a $109 Badugi champion in 2019 and the $2,100 World Champion of 8-Game in 2024.
