Muehloecker Wins Big Pot Against Schemion

Level 23 : 35,000/70,000, 8,750 ante

After a few smaller pots, Ole "wizowizo" Schemion and Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker battled in a hand that lasted more than three minutes into the new level.

It started with a min-raise by Schemion and Muehloecker three-bet to 330,000 in the cutoff, which Schemion called. On the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Schemion elected to check-call a bet of 176,550 and they checked the {5-Spades} on the turn.

After the board paired for the second time on the {5-Diamonds} river, Schemion now made it 394,000 to go and Muehloecker used a portion of his time bank before raising to 1,035,388. That in return sent Schemion deep into the tank and he folded after using more than a minute of his own time bank.

Down to the last 562,924, Canada's "fishbones11" moved all in from the cutoff and was called by chip leader Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen from one seat over on the button. The blinds got out of the way and the cards were turned over.

"fishbones11": {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

On a board of {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}, no seven from heaven appeared and "fishbones11" had to settle for 8th place and a payday of $39,341.

More for Muehloecker and Badziakouski

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker raised to 129,000 and picked up a call by chip leader Chris "Big HunI" Hunichen in the big blind.

The {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop brought no betting action and Hunichen led the {10-Spades} turn for 174,000, which Muehloecker called. The {8-Diamonds} river was then checked and Hunichen tabled {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a busted double draw, which Muehloecker had beat.

One hand later, Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski rivered a flush with {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} to win a smaller pot off Filipe "Zagazaur" Oliveira on a board of {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{j-Clubs} to jump above three million in chips.

Badziakouski Battles With Geilich

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski made it 135,600 to go and was called by Ludovic "ludovi333" Geilich in the cutoff. Badziakouski already slowed down on the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop and checked, Geilich bet 126,875 and was called.

Badziakouski check-called another 268,675 on the {5-Hearts} turn and they headed to the {9-Diamonds} river, after which Badziakouski opted to check the third street in a row. Geilich fired a third bet worth 486,875 and Badziakouski then check-raised to 1,093,750 with 8,253 behind. That sent Geilich in the tank for a short while and resulted in a fold by the Scotsman.

Hunichen Further Cements the Top Spot

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen raised to 132,000 and was called by Ole "wizowizo" Schemion on the button. A first barrel for 216,000 by Hunichen on the {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop was called and he fired 660,000 into 846,000 on the {5-Spades} turn, Schemion once again called.

After the {9-Diamonds} river, Hunichen made it 972,000 to go and Schemion sent his cards into the virtual muck.

Oliveira Takes It on the Flop

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen opened to 132,000 and was called by fellow big stack Ludovic "ludovi333" Geilich, out of the small blind one of the shorter stacks came along in Filipe "Zagazaur" Oliveira.

The {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop was checked to Geilich who bet 148,675, Oliveira check-raised to 446,025 and that did the trick to win the pot.

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades} and the eights of Schemion held to sent Aerts to the rail in 9th place for $31,510.

Muehloecker Chips Up

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams and Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker scooped pots without showdown to boost their stacks.

Muehloecker's win came at the expense of "fishbones11" who had min-raised and bet the {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop for 60,000, which Muehloecker check-called. The {q-Spades} turn was checked and Muehloecker successfully bet the {3-Clubs} river for 343,125 to force a fold.

Updated Counts of the Final Nine

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

Chris "Big Huni" Hunichen won the first pot of the final table before the blinds went up when he dragged in a pot of more than 1.2 million with {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} on a board of {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs} as Ole "wizowizo" Schemion was unable to beat the aces.

Hunichen then also won the last pot when he limped the small blind and Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski checked from the big blind. Hunichen bet the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop for 60,000 and picked up a call. They checked the {7-Clubs} turn and a bet of Hunichen for 212,000 on the {3-Diamonds} river won the pot without resistance

The players then headed into a scheduled five minute break with Hunichen at the top of the leaderboard.
