Just a couple of short years ago, only one player had accumulated five WCOOP titles.
Since then, the picture has changed quite a lot.
Two excellent MTT pros have now taken the lead, both with insane scores – one player has nine WCOOP titles, and another has eight.
With the WCOOP 2020 upon us, all could change again over the coming weeks, but it’s going to take nothing less than a legendary run if anyone is to join the top of the pack.
So as we look forward to the Series, here are the players who have won the most WCOOP titles so far. You’ll also find out who that five-time winner was.

Today's Action
Out of the 386 entries, 54 players returned today with "Sintoras" min-cashing last night when he busted in the same hand as Leonard "Gerritss" Gerritss to Mathias "Cashcid Linc" Maasberg who came back with the chip lead. By the time the first break came, there were only 29 players left with big names like Niklas "Lena900" Astedt and Shaun "shaundeeb" Deeb gone.
An hour later, ten more had fallen including players like Steven "SvZff" van Zadelhoff, Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson, Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker, and Maasberg who just couldn't make things work for him today as he ran his king-jack into the aces of Geilich.
Chew held the chip lead at that point but was overtaken by Gerrits when he took out Shawn "buck21" Buchanan with aces against kings. He then increased that lead when he eliminated Marton "noirduck" Czuczor and fellow countryperson "Prof. Hitman" before Chew took out another Dutchman in Teun "tinnoemulder" Mulder to get the tournament down to the final table.
Papadopoulos had the shortest stack at the start and was also first to go thanks to Chew. Ronnow Pedersen followed immediately after as he ran his kings into the aces of Brooks. Gerrits lost his lead when he paid for one of the many double-ups that happened on the final table but stuck around near the top of the counts for a while. Perez was pushed out by Camosci and Abreu was eliminated by Brooks.
Geilich then rivered a set to score a big double-up through Gerrits who was left short. He doubled up once before Camosci lost all his chips to Geilich who then had almost twice as many chips as Brooks who was sitting in second place. Having picked up a pay jump, Gerrits then left the final table stage.
Three-handed play lasted 90 minutes with the chips flying back and forth with Brooks in the lead in the end as he took out Geilich. Brooks had a commanding 3:1 chip lead but Chew managed to win a few before the players decided to look at the numbers. In the end, they decided to continue without a deal. Chew doubled up with an overpair to take a 2:1 lead before taking Brooks out when he called the three-bet shove of the latter with pocket eights. Brooks held ace-queen and even though he picked up a gutshot on the turn, the river didn't bring him any help.
