Today is a huge day for the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) at PokerStars with 15 events kicking off including the four-day WCOOP-72-L: $55 [8-Max NLHE Main Event], $1.25M Gtd at 7:05 p.m. CEST / 1:05 p.m. EDT.

Today's opening day will witness tens of thousands of players battling it out in hopes of putting themselves in a great position for Days 2-4 for a huge payout.

Players will have plenty of chances to build a massive stack with 25,000 in starting chips and blinds increasing slowly at 20 minutes per level starting at 50/100 with an ante of 12.

The tournament will witness new players entering throughout the entire opening day with late registration open until the start of Day 2. Players can opt to re-enter up to three times provided they lose all their chips during the late registration window.

Today's action will conclude after 17 20-minute blind levels are in the books and will reconvene for Day 2 at 7:05 p.m. CEST / 1:05 p.m. EDT when blind levels will be reduced to 15 minutes in length the rest of the way.
