The PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker kicked off today and is set to have a monstrous 102 events from August 22 - September 15. Every event has a Low, Medium, and High variation to meet the needs of all bankrolls in a series that is guaranteed to break $100 million in prize money.

WCOOP-04-M: $530 NLHE [8-Max], $1.5M Gtd is the medium buy-in of the fourth event on the schedule and will be played over the span of three days. Although the $530 entry fee is not the biggest buy-in on the slate, a standout $1.5 million guarantee is set and is sure to attract some of the best here on the first day of WCOOP.

The first six levels of the day will be 15-minutes in length, having the rest of the tournament run at 20-minute intervals. Late registration will remain open for a total of 4.5 hours, and all runners can have up to three re-entries. All players will begin with 200 big blinds, starting on the 250/500 blind level, for a total of 100,000 in chips.

Day 1 will play a total of 7h 45m before bagging up, players will then return for Day 2 on August 23 where the action will roll down until just 16 players are left. Those 16 runners will return for the third and final day on August 24 to play down until a champion is crowned, pulling in the lion's share of the prize pool.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing all of the updates throughout, so stay tuned as the action unfolds.

Papo MC Drops a Player

Level 3 : 400/800, 100 ante

"dawid78702" opened to 1,500 from the hijack, "Oneway1988" called in the small blind and Papo MC "[Papo]AR" three-bet to 7,500 from the big. The original raiser elected to fold and "Oneway1988" called to see the {q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop.

"Oneway1988" instantly jammed their 28,137 stack into the middle and Papo MC snapped it off, putting his opponent at risk as they tabled their cards. "Oneway1988" showed {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, giving them some sailboats but they needed a gust of wind to overtake the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} that Papo MC held.

The {q-Diamonds} turn sealed it for the PokerStars.net ambassador as he had his opponent drawing dead to the {3-Spades} river, pulling in another early pot to start the day.
