Brito Snags the Lead with a Flush

Level 24 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

The reign of Alexandros "mexican222" Kolonias as table captain lasted exactly four hands as he doubled up Pablo "pabritz" Brito as follows.

Kolonias opened for 176,000 from the lojack and Brito defended his big blind. Brito check-called for 316,240 on the {9-Spades}{a-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop before check-jamming the {3-Diamonds} turn from 740,002 to 1,776,658. Kolonias called and the cards were turned over.

Pablo "pabritz" Brito: {k-Spades}{4-Spades}
Alexandros "mexican222" Kolonias: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Kolonias was ahead when the chips went in and it looked like he could eliminate players in back-to-back hands. Instead the {8-Spades} river completed the board to give Brito a flush to win the hand.

Teun "tinnoemulder" Mulder Eliminated in 8th Place ($36,599)

Level 25 : 45,000/90,000, 11,250 ante

Teun "tinnoemulder" Mulder opened for 405,000 from the cutoff with just 505,286 behind. Muehloecker three-bet him for the rest and Mulder called.

Teun "tinnoemulder" Mulder: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Thomas "WushuTM" Muehloecker: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Muehloecker held a huge advantage after improving to a set on the {q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop and had Muehloecker drawing dead despite his opponent pairing the {a-Diamonds} turn. Mulder was officially ousted in eighth place for $36,599 after the {6-Clubs} river completed the board.

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

Padilha check-raised the {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop from 121,500 to 420,000 and Muehloecker called. Padilha fired out again for 640,000 and Muehloecker called.

The {2-Clubs} river completed the board and Padilha jammed his big stack. Muehloecker snap-called off for 1,929,845 and turned over {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a flush. It was a huge cooler for Muehloecker as Padilha held {3-Spades}{2-Spades} for a rivered full house to send the Austrian packing in seventh place for $47,669.

"Darwinsfish" Eliminated in 6th Place ($62,088)

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 12,500 ante

Pedro "PadiLhA SP" Padilha has taken out back-to-back players. This time it was the victim was the short-stacked "Darwinsfish" as follows.

"Darwinsfish": {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Pedro "PadiLhA SP" Padilha: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Padilha was ahead before he improved to Broadway on the {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop, leaving "Darwinsfish" drawing thin to a chop. Neither the {2-Diamonds} turn nor the {5-Hearts} river made a difference and "Darwinsfish" was eliminated in sixth place for $62,088.

Meanwhile, Padilha has nearly half the chips in play with five players remaining.

Theologis Hits a Flush Against Padilha

Level 28 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

Alexandros "mexican222" Kolonias jammed for 1,741,398 from under the gun and was called by Pedro "PadiLhA SP" Padilha from the button.

Alexandros "mexican222" Kolonias: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Pedro "PadiLhA SP" Padilha: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Padilha was ahead but trouble was brewing even after he paired his ace on the {k-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Spades} flop with Kolonias now with many outs. Padilha was drawing dead after the {7-Spades} turn gave Kolonias a flush and not even the {10-Clubs} river which improved him to two pair made a difference.

Meanwhile, Pablo "pabritz" Brito regained the lead by default.
