"Gabriellin" Leads Final Table in the PokerStars WCOOP-91-M: $530 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event]

AnthonyThompson • Level 50: 1,000,000-2,000,000, 250,000 ante

The PokerStars WCOOP-91-M: $530 NLHE [8-Max, Main Event] has its final table set after five hours of play on Day 3. The nine remaining players have all secured $36,601 but will all be looking for a bigger share of the $3,891,500 prize pool as the winner will walk away with the first-place prize of $549,008.

The tournament attracted a massive 7,783 entries before the start of Day 2 and at the end of Day 3, it's Brazil's "Gabriellin" who will log off today knowing that they are going into the final table with the chip lead holding 202,822,566 which is worth 101 big blinds when the final table starts.

They are followed by Peru's "Play4livin" with 156,089,111 in chips and Sweden's "Festen x" with 119,413,662, being the only other player's to eclipse the 100M mark.

The final table is set with a diverse representation of players from all over the world, as "PIPON777" resides from Latvia while "Dieferson09" is the only other player from Brazil.

Poland is represented by "dulek_jason" while "behindme93" calls Romania home, Ireland is represented by "blowf1sh", and Austria's "T0X16-" are also still in contention to try and win a WCOOP title for themselves and their country.

Today's Action

When the day started, 79 players were back in the race but it would be Bernardo "Machadada RS" Rocha who became one of the first casualties after his pocket kings were cracked by"KingKomeron" on the turn. Pedro "PaDiLhA SP" Padilha came into today in the middle of the pack but made an early exit after he failed to win a race against dulek_jason.

Things didn't go well for the Day 2 chip leader "extasyman" throughout the day, they ended up finishing in 41st place when they jammed their pocket threes into the pocket jacks of "FullHouseDrop" just after the second break of the day.

Lucio "WizardOffAz" Lima chipped up at the start of the day and was even chip leader at one point but he went on a downwards spiral. In the end, he lost the rest to "Alvers2" when he check-shoved on the flop with straight and flush draws while "Alvers2" flopped top pair. Lima bricked the turn and river ending his Main Event run.

Andreas "Wiborg95" Wiborg busted Fellipe "FellipeD" Drapichinski with the latter being taken out by "Play4livin" a few hands later. Things sped up then as, Renan "Internett93o" Bruschi, "bianchettibh", and "sofronovtema" all busted before the final two tables were reached. From there, it only took two hours before the final table was determined with "Gabriellin" taking a the chip lead into the final day.

Plan for the Final Day

When the players return, they will play Level 50 (1,000,000/2,000,000/250,000), and play will continue until the WCOOP champion of the Medium buy-in Main Event has been crowned.

PokerNews will be there for it all so keep following along.

"MrTermo1021" Eliminated in 10th Place ($26,090)

AnthonyThompson • Level 50: 1,000,000-2,000,000, 250,000 ante

"Play4livin" raised from the cutoff and then called the 41,926,868 three-bet jam "MrTermo1021" made from the button.

"Play4livin": {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
"MrTermo1021": {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

"MrTermo1021" was in desperate need of a set but couldn't find one on the {6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} runout and they were eliminated on the final table bubble.

"Shichi-77" Eliminated in 11th Place ($26,090)

AnthonyThompson • Level 50: 1,000,000-2,000,000, 250,000 ante

"behindme93" raised from the hijack and then called the 11,585,747 three-bet jam "Shichi-77" made from the button.

"Shichi-77": {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
"behindme93": {j-Spades}{9-Spades}

"Shichi-77" was ahead with their made hand of eights but the {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop put "behindme93" in the lead with a pair of nines.

The {a-Spades} turn was no help to "Shichi-77" as they needed a third eight to survive but the {2-Spades} appeared on the river and ended their tournament.

"wayther1969" Eliminated in 12th Place ($26,090)

AnthonyThompson • Level 49: 800,000-1,600,000, 200,000 ante

Action quickly folded around to "wayther1969" who raised all in from the small blind for 4,1602,256 and "Play4livin" called from the big blind.

"Play4livin": {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
"wayther1969": {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

"wayther1969" held the better hand and the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop didn't change a thing.

The {10-Hearts} turn however, paired "Play4livin" leaving "wayther1969" needing any ace or king on the river to stay alive.

Unfortunately for them, the {2-Spades} appeared and ended their tournament.

AnthonyThompson • Level 49: 800,000-1,600,000, 200,000 ante

"Artur_IAB" open-jammed for 26,869,635 from the hijack and "blowf1sh" looked them up from the big blind.

"Artur_IAB": {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
"blowf1sh": {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

"Artur_IAB" was slightly ahead with their made hand and nothing changed after the {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop appeared.

The turn however, came the {9-Hearts} giving "Artur_IAB" even more of a sweat as "blowf1sh" picked-up a gutshot straight draw.

"Artur_IAB" needed to fade the river to stay alive but a lady appeared {q-Diamonds} and ended their Main Event run.
