Lask Gets Caught But Hits Ace to Bust Opponent

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Dylan Lask
Dylan Lask

Action was picked up pre-flop after some action it appeared as though from the big blind Dylan Lask three-bet to 11,000 after an initial raise to 3,500 from his under the gun opponent. His opponent then four-bet to 22,000. Lask five-bet piled all in which had his opponent's decent size stack covered.

His opponent went into the tank and wondered allowed if the action could indicate anything other than pocket aces. After close to a minute he made the call. Lask frowned and showed the {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} while his opponent turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}. But the flop launched Lask into the lead as it came {2-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} to pair the ace. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and the river the {4-Hearts} to bust the at risk player with kings and to give Lask a big pot.
