Holland and Hogan Tag-Team to Take One Out

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

The board read {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds} when it looked like Tom Holland had check-shoved from the big blind for 13,500 after a bet of the player on the button and was called. Holland held {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for top pair while his opponent held {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the pair of nines. The river completed the board with the {10-Diamonds} to keep Holland ahead and double him up.

The hand after, John Hogan raised to 800 from the middle position and the player previously on the button now shoved his last 3,100 in from the cutoff. Action folded back to Hogan who made the call.

Cutoff: {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
John Hogan: {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades} to give Hogan's opponent a pair of tens and then open-ended straight draw.

The turn was the {2-Spades} which didn't change things but the {a-Clubs} on the river gave Hogan the higher pair to seal the deal and send his opponent to the rail or cashier to reenter.
