Yoon Bets Big?

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
David Yoon
David Yoon

The floor was called over to David Yoon's table when the board read {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} with around 9,000 in the middle.

Yoon had 4 yellow 1,000-value chips in front of him and had apparently announced a bet of 35 thousand-hundred. He announced the bet and put in the chips at around the same time according to the dealer. Yoon explained he meant 3,500 and the floor ruled that that would be the bet indeed.

His opponent took a few seconds and then made the call but mucked when Yoon tabled {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for two pair.

"He meant 35,000!" a tablemate joked.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} to keep McGuire ahead but Masters picked up the flush draw.

The river completed the board with the {8-Clubs} to keep McGuire ahead of the other player to scoop the side pot.

Bousman Doesn't Get Paid by Ahmadian

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

In the last hand of the previous level, Joan Bousman raised to 3,300 from under the gun and action folded all the way to Elia Ahmadian in the big blind who made the call.

They both checked through the {5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop to the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. Ahmadian bet 3,300 and Bousman called.

The river completed the board with the {2-Diamonds}, Ahmadian checked and when Bousman reached for her chips, Ahmadian snap-folded. Bousman showed she held {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for the turned full house.

"I was so hoping that you would have the flush!" Bousman said with a smile.
