McLaughlin Takes Out Two

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 0 ante
Robert McLaughlin
Robert McLaughlin

Robert McLaughlin has been on quite a roll this past level.

In a recent hand, two players limped from early position and McLaughlin raised to 2,000 from the hijack. The player in the cutoff and on the button called, as did the first two limpers.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} and the initial limper bet a bit over 5,000, the second limper raised, and McLaughlin went all in. Both the initial bettor and raiser called all-in for less and hands were revealed.

Robert Laughlin: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Early-position player #1: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Early-position player #2: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

McLaughlin was drawing, and the {4-Hearts} turn was of no help; however, the {9-Clubs} river completed McLaughlin's flush and he took the rest of both his opponents' chips.
